Dedicated to the progress and advancement of all paralegals.
On June 24th the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) granted Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to Nepalese nationals in the United States. This designation came as a result of the devastating earthquake and aftershocks that hit Nepal in April and May.
Please join us on August 1, 2015 for a TPS for Nepal application assistance event. Citizenship Now! will partner with the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG), the Legal Aid Society, the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) and Adhikaar to help Nepalese nationals complete their applications for TPS.
The event will take place in the cafeteria at Newtown High School in Elmhurst, Queens. The event starts at 11 a.m., but we ask volunteers to please arrive at 10 a.m. for breakfast and a brief orientation.
Please note that you must RSVP using the link in this email in order to volunteer at this event. If you wish to attend, please RSVP promptly. Preparation materials will be sent out to all registered volunteers next week.
