Presented by
Why You Should Attend A major disaster is likely to strike in California within our lifetime. In the aftermath, survivors will need help to resolve legal issues related to the disaster. By attending this program, you will learn about the most common post-disaster legal issues and then be able to participate in a regionally coordinated disaster legal services pro bono effort by providing brief phone assistance to disaster legal helpline callers, in-person assistance through legal services help desks located at Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs), or pro bono representation.
What You Will Learn
Who Should Attend Non-profit organization attorneys and staff, pro bono attorneys, law firm pro bono coordinators, law school clinical faculty, or anyone who wants to learn how to assist low-income disaster survivors with legal issues related to housing (renters and homeowners), insurance, federal disaster assistance, public benefits and consumer matters.
