Dear NYCPA Members,
We write to invite your participation in the upcoming CUNY/Daily News Citizenship Now! Call-In.
For those of you who haven't taken part in this exciting event, at the call-in we provide information to callers to help them in their path to citizenship. In 2010 we assisted more than 14,000 individuals and we aim to reach a milestone this year by helping our 100,000th caller.
This year's call-in will be held April 25 to April 29, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. It will be preceded by a training on March 30, 2011 at the Baruch Performing Arts Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A reception will follow the training starting at 5 p.m.
To register for the call-in, the training and/or the reception please fill out the Call-in Volunteer Registration form.
At the training experienced attorneys and counselors will cover various areas of immigration law that are important to our callers. To be able to accommodate more volunteers this year, and help more callers, we will live stream the training online. If you do not have working experience in immigration law, attending this training is a condition for participating in the Call-In. Everyone is welcome to attend the reception.
During the call-in the Daily News will provide parking, and food as well as publish a photo and bio of each participant.
For more information call Kymete Gashi, Special Projects Coordinator, at 646-285-4905 or Nadine Huggins, Special Projects Assistant, at 212 568-4679.
See you at the Daily News!
Sincerely,
Allan Wernick
