Immigrant Heritage Week 2011
Citizenship Now! Citywide Citizenship Application Assistance Event
This year Immigrant Heritage Week will take place from April 11th -17th and to celebrate New York City's vibrant cultures and diverse communities, CUNY Citizenship Now! is holding a Citywide Citizenship Application Assistance Event on Saturday, April 16th. Join us and celebrate with us while making a significant contribution to our communities by assisting individuals and families in applying for citizenship. Instead of borough-wide events as in past years, we are bringing together applicants, volunteers, staff and all immigrant advocates to one single location, making it one of our most exciting events of the year. The event is sponsored by Local 1199 SEIU, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO), the New York City Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) and the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development. To prepare you for our event, we have attached a copy of our latest issue of our Citizenship Now Guide! with step-by-step instructions on how to fill out the form N-400, Application for Naturalization. To volunteer for this event, please click the "Volunteers Register Here" button below.
