The first quarter of 2020 saw a groundbreaking set of resolutions involving Airbus SE in the United States, France, and the United Kingdom, involving fact patterns from multiple countries. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) concluded a civil action against Cardinal Health of Ohio related to a subsidiary in China, which touched on themes of M&A and gifts, travel, and entertainment compliance. The quarter also included several developments in notable enforcement actions against individuals in the United States as well as numerous actions across the globe.
