Chere Estrin is the CEO of Estrin Legal Staffing and President & Co-Founding Member of the Organization of Legal Professionals (OLP), an online continuing legal education organization for attorneys, legal professionals and originator of the eDiscovery Certification Exam (CeDP).
A former Administrator for two major law firms, she has held executive positions in law firms, litigation support companies and as Sr. Vice President of a legal staffing division of a $5 billion publicly held corporation. She is CEO of MediSums, a division of Estrin Legal STaffing, one of the top medical records summarizing organizations in the country. She is formed Editor-in-Chief of the prestigious magazine, KNOW, the Magazine for Paralegals and former Editor-in-Chief of Sue, the Magazine for Women Litigators.
Ms. Estrin has been in the staffing arena for over 20 years placing high-level legal professionals including attorneys, litigation support professionals, technology experts, paralegals, administrators, and managers at AmLaw 250 firms and Fortune 1000 in-house corporations. She founded a successful California organization that she sold to a $5 billion staffing company and, as Sr. Vice-President, ran its national division.
In her role with OLP, she guides the association’s development of the eDiscovery and Litigation Support certification exams (first in the country) along with Pearson, a $7 billion corporation specializing in certification exams and educational publishing.
Ms. Estrin is the author of 10 books about careers in the legal field including The Paralegal Career Guide 4th Edition; Why Traditional Legal Professionals Don’t Stand a Chance in Hell; Where Do I Go From Here? and has written hundreds of articles. She is a well-known national seminar speaker and has been interviewed or mentioned by publications such as Newsweek, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, Entrepreneur, Maximum, The Daily Journal, LTN, ABA Journal, Forbes.com, Above the Law, and other widely-read publications. She is a recipient of the Los Angeles/Century City Woman of Achievement Award, among others.
Ms. Estrin is a co-founding member of the International Practice Management Association (IPMA); and the Organization of Legal Professionals composed of a prestigious Board of Governors inclusive of judges, an ABA President and well-known attorneys.
