At this time of year blood supplies run short but patients with cancer frequently need transfusions daily to survive. Blood and platelets have no substitute and can only be stored for limited periods of time. Last year, approximately 40,000 units of blood products were transfused to MSKCC patients, many of whom are children. Your participation will help us meet these vital needs. Please share this precious gift with our patients, and encourage others to donate as well. Both general donations and donations directed toward a particular patient are welcome.
