SPANISH SPEAKING VOLUNTEERS
NEEDED!
Hispanic Federation is hosting a virtual phone bank in partnership with Telemundo. The event will provide much needed information and guidance for community members in the Tri-state area in need of food pantry services.
We are seeking bilingual volunteers who can speak English and Spanish. Additionally, volunteers must have access to a reliable cell phone and computer device (i.e. laptop, desktop, tablet, or something of the sort).
Volunteers will be trained to gain an understanding of the resources to use during the event, understand how to track each call received, in addition to navigating the online platform we utilize to answer live calls. This will require setting up an account to be able to receive and answer live calls. Because the training will be so extensive, we will schedule it a couple of days in advance to allow enough time for troubleshooting any issues that may arise as well as giving volunteers time to familiarize themselves with the online platform.
Please see below details regarding the training, event day, and how to sign up.
EVENT DATE: Wednesday, June 10, 2020 (live phone bank)
TIME: 5:00pm - 7:00pm
MANDATORY VOLUNTEER TRAINING: Monday, June 8, 2020
TIME: 3:00pm - 4:30pm
A second more abbreviated training will be offered an hour before the live phone bank on Wednesday, June 10th from 4:00pm to 4:45pm. This will act as a refresher and is an opportunity for anyone who could not join the Monday training.
SIGN - UP: Click on this link, https://bit.ly/2AjStbi, to sign up.
DEADLINE: All volunteers must sign up by June 4, 2020. This is important in setting up the accounts prior to the June 8th training.
Thank you for your support. Without all of you, this work would not be possible! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out.
Thank you in advance,
