HUNGER RELIEF PHONE BANK

We hope this email finds you safe and well.  As we approach the holidays we keep in mind the thousands of individuals who continue to face hardships due to the pandemic.  In response, Hispanic Federation will host a virtual phone bank in partnership with Telemundo, to provide imperative information and guidance for residents of the tri-state area in need of food pantry services.  We hope you will join us!  

We are seeking bilingual volunteers who can speak English and Spanish.  Additionally, volunteers must have access to a reliable cell phone and computer device (i.e. laptop, desktop, tablet, or something of the sort).

Volunteers will be trained on the resources to use during the event, understand how to record each call received, in addition to navigating Telzio, the online platform we utilize to answer live calls.  This will require setting up an account to be able to receive and answer live calls without the use of your personal phone number.

• EVENT DATE: Wednesday, November 18, 2020 (live phone bank)
• • TIME: 5:00pm - 7:00pm
• MANDATORY VOLUNTEER TRAINING: Tuesday, November 17, 2020
• • TIME: 3:30pm - 4:30pm 
  • A second more abbreviated training will be offered an hour before the live phone bank on Wednesday, November 18^th from 4:00pm to 4:45pm. This will act as a refresher and is an opportunity for anyone who could not join the Tuesday training.

• DEADLINE: All volunteers must sign up by Monday, November 16, 2020.  Registrations will be confirmed on that day, in addition to setting up accounts on Telzio in preparation for Tuesday’s training.
