New York City Immigrant Advocacy Initiative

Thursday, September 20, 2012

6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
REGISTRATION DEADLINE - Friday, Sept. 14, 2012

Dear Members,

On behalf of AILA's Pro Bono Committee, we are pleased to announce that the next New York City Immigrant Advocacy Initiative (NYCIAI) clinic will be located at the Saint Peter’s of Alcantara Church located at 1327 Port Washington Blvd., Port Washington (Long Island) on Thursday, September 20th from 6 pm - 9 pm.   NYCIAI is a collaboration between the City Bar Justice Center and the New York Chapter of AILA with the support of Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP. Our clinics offer community members a one-time consultation with immigration attorneys. We welcome the involvement of paralegals in a translator capacity.  At the clinic Paralegals will be paired with an attorney team. Prior immigration experience is not necessary, but may be helpful.  For this clinic Spanish speakering volunteers would be helpful.     If you are able to attend on September 20th, RSVP to me at
probono@nyc-pa.org no later than Friday, September 14th.  Please be sure to include your language fluency, resume (pdf or .doc; no .docx please) and identify yourself on the RSVP as a member of NYCPA.  We look forward to volunteering with you!

Warmest regards,

Stephanie Yuzzi,
NYCPA Pro Bono Chairperson
